Hesitation

A year or more
Since he knocked on this door.
Did they notice he'd gone,
Or just carry on?

The Fly

I'd rather perch here
On a cow's ear
Than be by her tail
When it starts to flail.

Up There

Perhaps I can fly,
I won't know 'til I try,
But if I should fall,
That's the end of it all.

Disruption

He led an undemanding life
With an undemanding wife
Until it was shattered
By something that mattered.
