A little verse ...
Hesitation
A year or more Since he knocked on this door. Did they notice he'd gone, Or just carry on?
The Fly
I'd rather perch here On a cow's ear Than be by her tail When it starts to flail.
Up There
Perhaps I can fly, I won't know 'til I try, But if I should fall, That's the end of it all.
Disruption
He led an undemanding life With an undemanding wife Until it was shattered By something that mattered.
The Garden Shed
The old garden shed Paint peeling and red, Still caressed by flowers In the sunshine hours.
Rubber Gloves
Her day begins with a heart full of wishes That all end up in a sink full of dishes. But when the gloves come off and the kids are in bed She returns to the dreams that play in her head.
The Farmer
A toothless grin and a damp wool jacket, Lint coated Polo mints escaped from the packet. There are cows to milk and sheep to shear, And hay to stack year after year.
